Hey guys / gals ! Last Thursday , I went to two different paintball shops looking to purchase a custom pro ( camo) . The first store had one left , and the person behind the counter brought it out and put the box on the counter . As I opened the box , I noticed the box had a factory seal on it that was cut and I asked why the seal would be cut in the first place . The girl behind the counter said they open all there marker packages to test fire them to see if they work fine . Is that BS ? . Anyways , the marker looked a little dirty , probably held quite a bit . So I left . I went to a second shop and they also had one left , which also that box had the factory seal removed !. Anyways I examined the marker and to me it looked very clean and no scratches . I purchased the marker and went out and played the next day and it ran fine . The only problem I came across is when I re-assembled the marker after cleaning it . I tightened all the bolts ( not too tight ) and I notice now that the left receiver half seems to be a touch higher than the right receiver half . I am not sure if it was like that before I purchased it . My nephew has the same marker and hey said his is not like that . He said his is evenly flush , one half is not higher than the other . I took the marker apart two more times , just in case I messed something up . Still the same outcome . Anybody run into the same type of problem , or maybe a manufacture defect ? I know if I went back to the shop to complain or whatever , the guy at the paintball shop would probably say its fine don't worry about it . I know the marker will eventually get all scuffed up with paint chips , but with the receiver half slightly higher than the other . The paint will will fake off much quicker .
Thanks !! Any opinions out there would be just wonderfull !!

Does it shoot fine? If so, I wouldn't worry. I would maybe play it safe and send it to Tippmann.

Welcome to the forums. I would suggest playing with the screws a bit. Tighten them, loosen them, make sure you have the right screws in the right place. The smallest oned go in the grips the longest one goes in the front grip and the rest don't realy matter. If you try this and you get no positive outcome send it to Tippmann. Hope I was help.

Thanks for your reply American ! Well I have only played once , which was on Friday and it shot fine . I am not sure if the left and right sides were not flush before I cleaned the marker . I have taken it apart three times now and still the same problem . I hooked the co2 tank and it seems to fire ok , but I have not fired any paint . Thanks again |

Thanks estcstpnt ! Well I did as you suggested a few times and still the same problem . The part that is really noticeable is the top part of the marker where the two halves meet . I wonder what Tippmann would say . If they did say to ship them the marker , I wonder how much in total it would cost me to ship it . I live in Canada and it seems it would be a big hassle . Man ! I wish my local Walmart sold them ( CAMO CUSTOM PRO ) . I would just do a switch ! . Thanks |

I guess it depends on how you feel. If you're still not sure and you think you want to send it to Tippmann, do it. It shouldn't cost too much, and it will be well worth it. |

How much is it off? If its only a hairs distance off (Metaphor) then it is probably just a little sanding or paint defect and it shouldnt be a problem. If its a HUGE difference then that could affect performance eventually if the recievers are not lined up on the inside too |
