Ok, I finished installing my Vortex and used Shocker Lube, however I had problems cutting the spring.. it said one turn, I did atleast three or four, however I tested it (manually like it said) and it turns and cycle right....why does it say not to cut the spring more than one turn?

first things first:
unless you were involved in the planning/design of this product, or have an extensive knowledge of it, why did you disobey the installation instructions? you may have gotten lucky, but why wouldn't you just do what the instructions say? |

Uh, good to see you again Bill I"m >>>PAUL<<< on your Myspace. Anyway, basically I had VERY bad wire-cutters, and when I pressed it it wouldn't cut, so I had to take it off, when I did, it unravled more the spring, so I just cut it after that because I had enough "room" to get the shrap part of the wire-cutter in (very back of it) Long Story Short - I didn't mean to, I accidently messed up and couldn't go back.

I haven't cut the drive spring on mine yet. Holding out on how the marker performs with the stock spring length before I modify it.

It woulda been alot nicer if they included a pre-cut drive spring

They want a certain amont of pressure on the feeder axle, if there is not enough (pressure) the feeder axle will have to much slop in the movement , you will see the sproket move back and forth more than normal. you may or may not have problems. |

I tested it today....only a couple skips, and I think that's cause I didn't have my QEV on and was useing TURBO mode at 15bps. No chops though.
