basicly it is a straight barrel like any other except at the end, where the tip can be turned to different positions. what this does is as the ball comes out of the barrel, spin is put on the ball. this allows you to gain a "curve ball" effect. you could use this for several uses, but the best is for greater range. by putting backspin on a ball, the air will get sucked from above the ball and pushed under it. creating a high pressure below the ball and a low pressure above the ball, thuse the air under the ball "lifts" the ball higher, counteracting gravity to an extent, making the gun able to shoot further.

kinda... but you could always just tilt your gun w/ flatline and get the same effect... if you wanted to.

Yep, that dive bomb mode works just perfectly when I turn my Flatline equipped marker up-side-down...for about 1 shot. The Apex is vastly superior. If you want nothing more than Flatline performance, it will do that, but with much less picky-ness about paint choice than is the Flatline. But, if you want to make some wild shots, the Apex WILL SHOOT AROUND CORNERS!!! And drop shots right over the top of a bunker to take 'em out when you can't even see them. And all of that can be done on the fly...you can actually change the direction of the curve while you are firing even on the run!!! |
