I just shot my ion for the first time today. All I can say is wow. But I did have one problem When I started shooting it would work fine then start to drop. I would let it sit for a few seconds then shoot it again it it did the same thing. Is it just low air or am I choking it of air somehow?

Dwell may be too low or HPR is too low and the dwell is too high, tank reg is of poor quality, HPR is bad or is dirty,  general greasing service is necessary, may be low on air and are starving the HPR....

Pull apart the reg on the gun and lube it. Use Dow 33 or Sleek. If the reg on the gun isn't recharging fast enough, thats your problem. If the HPA tank reg is crap with a crappy recharge rate, there is your problem. If these two things are not it, reset the dwell to around 45 clicks above zero. Report back, and let us know.

Pull apart the reg on the gun and lube it up really well with Dow 33 or Sleek. An unlubed reg seems like the problem.

Edit- Dwell is how long the noid stays open to allow air to pass to the bolt.

I would just suggest getting a new ASA, the stock one is not to good, and sometimes makes it hard to screw the tank in. You could put a little bit of dow 33 on the threads of the tank to help it. Just dont use oil, Dow 33 is a lube. Oil + Noid/comp air= bad news.

It takes way more than 850 psi to make oil ignite.

I know, Im saying oil+noid= is bad and oil+ comp air is bad. I didnt mean that oil in the noid was going to explode. Sorry for the confusion.

you should lube the ion bolt after everytime you play. or you will get drop off. lube helps a lot and it really easy to do. only time consuming part to maintaining the ion is acctually getting to the bolt.
