This will be my Half-block 05 Prostock Project thread

i have just recently sent my 05 Prostock to a machinist to have the following done:

  • Drilled for Eyes
  • Cutting body to Half-block specs
  • milling hammer for half-block set-up

The following will be done upon further decisions yet to be made:

  • Re-annoed, either back to original color and type, or to a completely different color, type, and scheme (possibly a black or gun metal with chrome/nickel, red, or yellow parts)
  • Laser engraving "Viper GTS" in Viper Font and the Viper Emblem to show off my love for Vipers
  • usual upgrades to the regulator, valve, pneums, asa, and gas line 

Here is how she was before i sent her off...

I will update when i get her back sometime this week.

Also may i ask if anyone knows if short Impulse bolts will fit a Half-blocked cocker... if not anyone know where i can get a POM half-cocker bolt?

+ 10 internetz for making a Viper 'cocker. You share my favorite car. Now for 10 more, which do you like better, new style or old style?

As for the gun, since you're doing a Viper theme (), it HAS to be red. No questions asked. That's like a Viper's trademark color. Can't wait to see her when she's done.

CORRECT!

Anyway, another clean color on Vipers is blue. Get it anodized a deep blue, that would look clean...

Vipers are alright, but all we know the Corvette is better! I think the deep blue then run one white racing strip across each side for really nice looks. Then have some fun with JB weld and make a custom Viper hood scoop for it. Tada you have one Vipirized cocker!

gosh v8 lovers. Well never mind. The vipers a v10. My dad had a dodge ram V10 pickup which is the same as a viper motor with different cams and heads. That thing flew. Too bad it only got 7 MPG

yeah the SRT-10 Ram fastest production truck ever... and it only gets 7 with your foot held to the floor... other than that it gets 18-20

It's not that the viper theme is lame in itself, it's got two main drawbacks.

1) Someone on PBN already did it with the Ferrari.

2) Shouldn't one of the best cars in the world be on one of the best guns?

I thought I would do my Dream Car on my Dream Gun.....
the Cocker has always been my most favorite gun... ever since i first got my 98C i've always wanted a cocker... and now i have two... i would take nothing over one of my babies... i may use something different but it would never replace them... and in the End it all boils down to preference anyway... so your "BEST" gun may not  be my  "BEST" gun, either by fact or opinion... but i don't really care

and if i do recall a Ferrari is NOT a Viper... so its still different and i don't care what other people have done... and besides its just one other person... most of the people i play with around here dont even know what an Autococker is and much less ever seen one, Espescially with custom engraving on it

So i'm gonna do what i want to do...

i appreciate your interest in the project, and i don't like anyones disinterest and quite rude comments.... how bout we wait and see how the final project turns out?
