I do believe you can send it back to Tippmann and they'll fix it up for you. I would trying calling and get the infor you need via telephone.

Tippmann will re-do it, it might be scratched, not sure how worn, it's a pretty tough finish.  How many case have you shot through it?
Imagine there’s a picture of your favourite thing here.

Yeah, the top inside arc of the flatline isn't supposed to be smooth.  There needs to be some friction for the ball to start it's backspin as it moves through the barrel.

well i haven't shot many through it

probably only a case or less.  I bought it off of a friend who didn't use it because he didn't know how to install it but there seem to be legit scratches on the inside. Im pretty sure they shoudln't be there

do they run horizontal or vertical down the barrel, or are they random?  Yes, it does matter.  You should be able to get a LOT more cases then that out of it.

Well, try it out.  If its not performing well, try and get it sandblasted.  Its no biggie, they only make you pay for shipping.

The barrel will make at least fifty cases of paint before it needs to be re-blasted. The scratches are normal...comes from grit on the paint...which comes from tossing your pod on the ground with the lid open...or picking up paintballs off the ground...or just playing on dirt/sand fields.

It has virtually no impact on performance of the barrel. Wash and dry your pods after each day of play. Clean the hopper.

The blasted finish is the same on all inside surfaces of the barrel. The textured surface gets clogged with the shell material from the balls...it is gelatin which clogs the surface making the ball slip rather that grip the surface and start to roll. Clean the barrel (off the marker) after each play day with hot water and Dawn dish detergent. If the Flatline starts to loose performance it is usually because the interior has not been cleaned with the hot soap and water method...not because it is worn out.

If it needs resurfacing, Tippmann does it for free. Turn around is about 2 days.

BTW, E-Wall, you are here on the Tippmann site. Find the phone number and call. Actually you can also find a service address so you could just bundle it up with a note as to your needs and ship it to them.

just to be safe you may want to send it in to tippmann or at least call. Being it was a used barrel, you may need to check, the first group of these made had some problems with the inner finish and Tippmann was trying to get most of them back. I had one and it gave me a lot of trouble I sent it back, when it came back it has been great for the last 3 years. the other thing we have seen in our shop is people using cheap barrel cleaners that scratch them. At a big game last year guys from tippmann were telling us that people are using the wrong cleaners on these barrels, the proper way is (per the tech) is hot water rinsed out and then soak in cold water, this will break down anything clings to the rough surface, without striping the finish or scaring the inner barrel hope it helps,
