I have one of the new WAS boards, which was a warranty replacement of my previous board.  I have played with it one weekend and it worked great, yesterday I headed out and nothing has changed and the gun wasn't touched for two weeks.  But when I turned it on it goes straight from Green to Red and it locks up and won't fire.  I changed the battery, in fact I tried two just to be sure. I was able to get it turn off after removing the battery, and I was able to reset the board and reset the polarity, but no success.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

I had similar sounding problem and by the sounds of it its in the setting mode, or mode setting how ever you wanna say it. Not sure how to get out of it apart from change the dwell (thats what a solid red light means in setting mode) and just put it to 8 (thats how it comes stock) and then once changed you can turn it off and when you turn it back on it will turn on in normal mode. I had a battle with mine when I first got it, It isnt the easiest thing to get your head around personally

any chance the trigger is stuck in or jammed in? The WAS, normally, only goes to red if you turn it on while holding the trigger down (to enter the setup mode)

Hi,

I have the same problem with 3 different egrips, I was trying to install earlier this morning.

When I turn it on, it goes directly to setup mode. But if I turn it holding down the trigger, it goes on OK.

The other problem is if I turn it on, the regular way (whitout holding the trigger), the board wouldn't switch off, if I press and hold the on/off button. To turn it off i need to disconnect the battery.

Any advices????

I need to install 2 of this egrips tomorrow!

Thanks in advance.

Update:

thanks to the wicked air sports forum, I found out that the A5 trigger switch works backwards, this means, that when the grip is mounted in the marker, the switch is pressed, but if the board isn't in the mounted grip, the switch isn't depressed, and it works the opposite way.

Conclusion: Allways Set Up Your Board Once It Is Installed In The Marker!!!
