It's spring loaded if that helps any. You have to wind it up to load it. I don't know too much about them either, but those are the basics.

Replacement pods are only about $20 from the company. The most annoying part of the Q Loader (for me) is that the pod filling equipment is extra stuff I have to haul around. |

Basically a corkscrew that unwinds, and as it does so it feeds the paint in. The paint mirrors the corkscrew (ie, the paint in the hopper is situated in a corkscrew shape) and as you shoot, the spring force on the "corkscrew" forces another ball into the chamber.

i have a qloader system and the pods are alot more durable than your standard paintball pod so as long as you dont go stomping on them they should be fine |
