If you have played and think you will get into speed ball I suggest an ion, but if you want to get into woodsball I suggest a tippmann. Now if you haven't played at all wait a while longer get out on the field and play the different types of games, and if you can borrow some one elses gun so you can get a feel for what you want.

$2-300? I'd suggest the A-5, unless you like Mil-Sim (Military Simulation) in which case I'd suggest the X-7. |

i would say that if you to have the most unique gun out one the field get a 98pro-e or RT(responce trigger) and add a cyclone to it. then you have something that can top the a5. or just get an a5
the plus to the 98 though is that most of the barrels have gone down in price and the flatline you can get for about 30 bucks cheaper |

Personally, I would suggest getting a used gun on PbNation.
You could get an A5 with a Response Trigger or E-Grip, Flatline, and maybe even a Low Pressure Kit for $300, easy. That said, you do have to be careful--if you're interested, shoot me a private message here or on PbN, my name there is the same (Pariel), and I can help you find a good deal and a good seller. |

dunno bout you guys but i have just as much fun with both my gun and marker...
BTW if you really want a brand new gun, the A5 is nice, or if you don't like the cyclone get a 98. if your willing to go used, you can grab an upped 98 or a5 for about 200 bucks. Personally i love my 98, i play both speedball and woodsball with it. its in my sig if you want to look. |

Would an 02 Autococker be better? My brother has a nicely upgraded 02, and our friend as an 04, I can't say there is big difference in quality or design, the milling just changed a bit. Actually IMO since k2 bought WGP, the products offered have stagnated. They have what are basically the same as the older model markers, which are fine, or they have markers that they slapped WGP on as an attempt to market an inferior product (compared to past pre-K2 products) such as the Trilogy Autococker series, and the Worrmachine. |
