Ok I'm sorry if this question has already been discussed but i searched for it in passed threads and couldnt really find it... maybe I was searching for the wrong thing. Anyway, what advantage does swapping the stock trigger spring for a normal pen spring have in an A-5/BT-4? Also does this mod have any disadvantages or possible ways it could ruin your marker? I haven't made the mod yet and not sure if i will depending on how effective it will be |

Somewhere on www.model98.org it has the pen spring mod and I think it explains what it does for your gun. I thought it gave you a lighter trigger pull, but I am not 100% sure. |

Yes, it usually gives a lighter trigger pull. type in pen spring in the search window and I'm sure you'll find all the info you're looking for. |

NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

I've done the pen spring mod to all of my guns and I highly recommend it. The only purpose of this mod is to make your trigger pull lighter which will allow you to pull the trigger more rapidly. As far as I know there is no way this could damage anything as it simply affects the amount of force applied to resetting the trigger. If you have a double trigger and would like to shoot a little faster, definitely do the pen spring mod. I can shoot pretty fast on my A5 with just a blade trigger and a light spring so if you don't plan on getting an RT or an egrip then change the spring, you'll be glad you did. When looking for the right spring, just pop open a couple of pens and compare them to the stock one. I've found some that are the same size but more squishy than the stock ones and they work nicely. If they're longer, you can always cut them down to the right size.
