I wish it were possible to hate someone to death, if it were, Michael Bay would be dead right now.

This is what you get when you combine the best FX in the world with the worst writing in the world. It's as though the screenwriters have never heard actual human beings talk, and have learned about the world solely from bad action movies. Honestly, the line "We're the government." sums it up. Every possible action, cheesecake, cornball, cliche in the history of bad cinema is there.

What you are about to read is true, during Transformers, I actually hit myself in the head repeatedly to try to become dumb enough to enjoy it. I am deadly serious, I hit myself in the head as hard as I could to try and numb the pain the script was inflicting on my brain. On the ride home, unbidden, a primal scream ripped from my gullet, a sound of pure rage. I cradled my head in my hands for much of the movie, while the rest of the time was filled with the crazed laughter of the mental patient who is the only sane person in an asylum run by psychopaths, knowing the insanity of the world, but not being able to stop it.

Even the <damn> direction made me want to cause physical harm to someone. Every cliche of action cinematography, every shaky camera whip-pan, every overdone lens flare (which I might add, was used in nearly every scene) from the past 15 years is rehashed here.

The only positive things I have to say are these:
-Megan Fox is hot.
-The effects were amazing, and I loved the battles.

Decepticons 4 lyfe.

but they had colorchanging motorcycles.  the one the guy rode under one of the decepticons to kill it, changed colors from silver when it was laying on the ground and he was picking it up, to red/black when he was riding it.

good movie is a personal opinion, millions of millions of people will disagree with you.

not every movie has to be groundbreaking acting, or storyline to be a good movie, 300 had horrible acting and dialog but it still rocked

making a... turn your brain off and watch the sweet effects, was good enough for many people to be entertained which was obviously the main goal for this movie.

I doubt any one entered into TRANSFORMERS expecting to learn something, or for it to be realistic, or for the storyline/acting to be amazing.

I'm sorry you are too smart to just sit down and enjoy a movie.

It's sad that a lot of people don't realize the purpose of some movies. Plenty of people I've talked to say they hated Snakes on a Plane for bad acting, bad effects, and a plot with no twists and no complexity. The movie wasn't about any of those things, just snakes on a plane.

Transformers is that kind of movie. All they wanted was decent acting, a decent storyline (one that could bring the plot to earth while keeping it strictly a mechanical reason), and kickass effects. It was meant to be funny and full of action. If you get all pissy thinking you wasted your money going to such a movie, then you have no business reviewing it.

Barrel Break, my friend had the exact same comment. He said that that acting was the worst piece of garbage he's seen in a while. But what can you expect from a Micheal Bay movie? I mean, Bad Boys... cough cough. The thing about good script/acting is that both smart and stupid people can enjoy it.

The dialog was quite in line with the comic books and tv shows. Do you get mad at the spiderman movies when he says ZOMG meh spidey sense is tingling!!!!1!!! Just because its cliche?

I was under the influence when I saw it so I thought it was kickass.

My friend who works for a local production company heard all the CG for Transformers was less than 1 TB.
