Hello everyone. I am new to site and new to tippman guns. I have bought a few upgrades. 1 is a adjustable stock. When I take th gun apart to put it on. the End cap has seveal holes predrilled. I have 2 springs going into them.1 is the guide pin and the other is AC spring. The new stock has the guide pin but not a hole for the AC spring. Not sure what I should do to install stock? Drill a hole? Where? Thanks for any help

It's an older stock, made before ACT became the standard.
Measure the distance between the AC spring hole and the end-pin hole. Also measure the diameter of the AC spring hole. Measure as best you can the position of the AC hole, so that when you attach the stock it will be as close to the correct, vertical position as you can make it. If you want to, you could mark the position the endcap takes when it's attached with white-out or something, then drill straight through the endcap and into the stock cap. Whichever of those two methods you choose, make sure to measure the depth of the AC hole first, and drill slowly, taking frequent stops to measure the depth. If you DO go too far, you might be able to shim the spring with a piece of material cut to size. If you dont want to risk it, bring the stock back to the store, return it, and buy a new one with the correct hole. Hope this helps, and good luck. |
