pictures!  Trying to find the biggest, most complex picture currently hosted on the net (been using Google Images).  Biggest I've found is 6400x3200.

I don't know what you think a .jpg with painting in it is, but to everyone else, that's a picture. If you're looking for the largest PHOTOGRAPH, look up the gigapixel project.

I know there is an epic Hubble telescope shot that was a 500MB TIFF, but I can't find it on the webs anymore.

I think eville's is bigger, though.

Eville, the full size pic is 28 gigabytes, I just scaled the small one up.  No way I can host that, but if I could it would no doubt be killing some browsers.
