Cellulitis *update pg 2*

This is a continuation so we can discuss my gross thumb. If you want to flame, go elsewhere.

Worst labor day weekend EVER.

Story time... goes back to last week. I got a blister on my thumb from drumming, not a big deal. I popped it, it healed fairly well. This was maybe tuesday when it was healed.

Now thursday. It started to turn a little red, okay i thought. I went on with my day as normal. Even went to basebal practice and did everything i normally do without pain. Next day, a bit bigger, more paingful swelling of the thumb. Told my coach i couldn't even hold a ball. THen it just kept getting worse. My girlfriend came over friday night, and just in the few hours she was over it got even bigger.

Saturday morning. A tad bigger. Pretty painful now. Went to the USC game, all was well. It hurt at times, but was pretty tolerable.

Sunday, things got bad. Woke up in the morning , my thumb now 4 times it's normal size. EXTREMELY painful. I'm talking the worst pain I can ever remember experiencing. Told my work i couldnt come in, and went to an emergency clinic. He gave me some anti biotics. That ngiht it doubled in size. Worst pain of my life.

My mom drove me to the e.r., the put me on some i.v. antibiotic, and stuck a huge ass needle in my thumb. Nothing came out. Nothing. I still can't believe nothing came out with my thumb this big.

Left the e.r. at 4 in the mornhing, they told me to come back today. I did, we went through the same stuff. I threw up when i got to the e.r. We switched anti biotics and now instead of taking tylenol + codeine for pain, i got vicodin.

Tomorrow i have to go see my doctor, and then he's gonna send me to a hand surgeon , whos gonna tear the thing open.


Excuse me if this post is long or confusing, vicodin is doing me well.

Forgot to add, it's cellulits, maybe staph. It spread from my thumb to my index and middle finger.

meh, ive seen worse but that sucks. the pain in thumbsand stuff must suck, esp. holding a pen to write

Haha i wish vicodin was nearly that strong. Now if i had gotten some oxycodone we'd be having a different convo right now.
