Question for the interweb savvy, do they haxx0r their way into your drive to search it?  Is that legal?  If you destroy your hard drive, can you get in trouble?

Not the fact that she got in trouble, the fact that she was fined 220,000.


Totally unreasonable considering the crime.


I am sure there will be an appeal and the appellate court will say the punishment has to fit the crime, and $220,000 for 24 songs is not fit.

I actually agree with linus this time I think like a couple hundred dollars is a fair punishment cause she was unlucky and got caught.

It's the uploading of music, via torrents.


Most likely they probably tracked the amount of MB she uploaded and converted that to how many time she uploaded each song, but still too harsh of a punishment.
