They are splitting

I wonder if that means Halo and future bungie games will hit the other systems?

EDIT: From the Bungie Website

Halo will never hit other systems. The whole Halo franchise is owned by MS, Bungie just sorta leases it from them for development purposes.

The only reason MS bought them in the first place was to retain rights to the Halo series and keep them from going to another platform with it.

Bungie was in dire need of financial assistance, MS wanted to retain sole control of the Halo franchise. It was a good relationship for both of them. I'll be interested to see what bungie comes up with in the future though. A lot of their Dev Team has jumped ship after the completion of the Halo project (pretty common in the programming world).

It is a pretty good game and it is somewhat unique but the only reason its so good is the game play.

Let's hope EA doesn't buy them out.

It would cost so much money to buy it out though

Bungie used to be owned by Mac but at halo's first press release they bought bungie

That's interesting.

Has Bungie been involved in any other projects besides Halo?

NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

I don't know 100 percent if they where involeved in it , but Stubbs the zombie was built with the Halo Engine. So I imagine they had something to do with it. Thats the only other game I think has the Halo engine.

I'm pretty sure they created Marathon for the PC-?

But seriously, we can do without Halo for a while. I'd like to something new and innovative come out.

Portal? TF2?

In addition to that:

Armed Assault? Crysis? Far Cry 2? Assassin's Creed?

There are plenty more innovative games that are already out or are coming out. Believe me when I say that Halo was nothing special.

I just hope that Bungie stays with MGS (I know Halo is owned by them, damn you!), but I would be pissed if they started making a ton of stuff for Sony or was bought out by EA.
