Is the Flatline for the A-5 really that much better than a J&J ceramic(14in.)? I was just curious since there is a $60 price difference. My main concerns are; Does the J&J really add that much more distance/accuracy? Is the Flatline all its cracked up to be? (and is it worth the near $100 price tag?) Edit: I forgot to mention the Bt Apex which is the median as far as price goes, any input about that also would be appreciated. Edited by smcgzzle - 22 April 2008 at 7:36pm |

The Flatline will give you greater distance; the JJ will give you better accuracy.
The Apex is a nice medium of the two, but I'd rather save the money and get a JJ. |

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Agreed. I love my edge kit. I love it enough that I got every front for it and have it on my cocker and my A5.

the more i look into the Apex, the more i'm starting to like it. I've read almost all ecstatic reviews saying it even out performs the Flatlike in distance and is also a lot cheaper. hmmm......

the flatline isnt all that great. i have two friends that have flatlines and one complained about it curving around people at close-medium range[20-50ft] i watch him shoot it and it does curve. like sinister said it adds range not acurracy

^^^ Actually, a properly set up/chronoed Flatline can be quite accurate. The problem with most people's Flatlines is that they don't take the time to set it up properly.
Edited Note: The close range "curving" is most often related to either excess velocity of not holding the marker so the barrel is vertical to the ground. Edited by Mack - 23 April 2008 at 11:47am |
