I was lending out my Pro/Carbine yesturday, and after a few test shots without a problem, all of a sudden something went pop and air started rushing out the barrel. I have not disassembled the gun yet, but I'm assuming it's the cup seal.
Another problem I've had lately is the connecting rod is popping out of it's hole in the front bolt. The plastic sight that is suppost to hold the rod in place is there & in it's correct position, but the front bolt seems to get stuck in the barrel, and the rob pops out on the re-cock. Any ideas on this one? I just replaced the front bolt o-ring 2 weeks ago. |

If you replaced the front bolt o-ring, it might be the wrong size, or swollen causing it to stick in the barrel.
I would check the link arm hole in the front bolt and see if its worn or damaged, that could cause the link arm to pop out. As for the leak, definately either the cup seal, or one of the two valve o-rings. If you want to try fixing it yourself, the o-ring sizes for the valve are available in the Replacement Parts Guide sticky in this forum. |

I will replace it again. According to TippmannParts.com, the front bolt o-ring is a standard size tank o-ring. According to them, Tippmann discontinued the front bolt o-ring as a replacement part, and recommend tank o-rings. I have had a CVX valve apart before, so I know how to do that. I may just order a complete replacement valve for the heck of it. |
