Most modern cats in vehicles are 'high flow'. Aftermarket 'high flow' cats are gimmics

GReddy makes a high-flow CARB compliant Cat, but as Andy said, most aftermarket cats are just gimmics that don't add any flow rate. The vast majority of modern catalytic converters can handle any street legal headers without much back-pressure.

Just got my inspection today. It's nice going to them and saying hey I took a cat out, hook me up and everything is good and I leave with a passed inspection tag. It's also nice because my friend knows a friend.
