Hi all. Im new to paintballing. I purchased my A5 with egrip and I installed an apex barrel and a 6 position stock on it. I used it for the first time on the field this past sunday. The damn thing would not fire. It would fire one shot and then it would only shoot air. I had my e grip on fully automatic, so if I left the trigger pressed It would sometimes shoot. Ive read several threads on cyclone feeding problems and how the ratchet breaking is the cause. However being that the problem occured on the first time I pullled the trigger, I dont think that the ratchet is already broken. If anyone knows what type of procedures should I take to indentify the problem please let me know Please keep in mind that I don't understand all of the paintball jarg at this momment because Im just getting into the sport. P.S I dont have any clue what the ratchet or where its located. Edited by joeheezee - 11 November 2008 at 9:53am |

before doing all of that just try dropping some oil in the asa and also taking the bottom plate off of the cyclone, drop a few drops in there, put plte back on, put the drops of oil in the asa, air it up, fire it a few times without barrel on. if the cyclone does not move try pushing the cocking rod attached to it then if the cyclone still doesnt spin even with with manually doing it then there is something wrong with the cyclone that needs to be replaced most likely.
ps dont use white lithium grease in there. it is unnecessary (from video) |
