Depends on what you want to use it for. I have a Panasonic that I've had forever. It's great for keeping the top of my head smooth but I prefer a blade for my face. (I think it was quite a bit more than your price range though.)

Bad idea, tweezers and time will actually do a better job. Get a rotary, and I have a barbed wire beard, expeieience showed foil razors just pull out hair, tweezers would be cheaper.

Add some good shave soap and a brush and you've got a hell of a shave. |

Just ordered a Braun 370. Was going to just buy one from Kmart, but they only had one it stock and it had been used (gooey crap and hair on it, etc.)

I use a rotary. I like it for what it is. It takes awhile for it to finally be able to cut the hair close. The manual even said that facial hair takes awhile for it to be "trained" to the rotary blade. I still use a blade to get a close shave.

And this is why I have a beard. No worries about this kind of thing.

I can't handle having a beard. I like it being smooth, but having to shave everyday absolutely sucks. It's always prickly way too early in the day. My hair grows too quick.

That's because you didn't use it right NOOB! There are actually different types of "safety" razors out there. Each one is for a different beard/skin type. The ones with combs on them are for tougher, longer hair growth and more experienced shavers. The ones without combs, or with a "slant-bar" are for the normal guy. Also, you have to know how to hold it, proper angle and all that. There's a reason a lot of people use craptastic mach-whatever razors these days, you pick it up and it works. You just pay way too much for it and ultimately do more damage to your skin and get a worse shave for doing so. |
