I'm 40! 

All that to say that I got approved to cover the St. Petersburg Bowl yesterday, on Dec. 19. 

I'm really excited. My first (And maybe last) time to be in a press box and cover a bowl game. 

Well, maybe not. I'm applying for credentials to cover the other two
Orlando bowl games. You will all get pictures of the view if I do. 

I also came to a life-changing realization the other day. 

Despite how much I like political reporting, despite how much I like
reporting on elections, despite how much I want to go to graduate
school and learn how to manage multi-media newsrooms, despite how much
I trump up the importance of hard-hitting news coverage... 

...If someone offered me a job right now being a college football reporter for the rest of my life, I'd take it. 

Tonight I am going to be in front of my friend's big-screen TV,
watching Oregon State run for about 450 yards and Oregon doing about
the same through the air. 

I just hope Blount doesn't murder someone.
