Airsoft mask for paintball

Does anyone else use an airsoft mask to play PB with?  Even with a thermal mask I would always fog up, so I switched to an airsoft mask that covers my eyes, and direct front of my my face.  It has rubber flabs over my ears, but my lower facial and upper neck regions are exposed.  I know this puts me at a little higher risk of taking some painful hits, but the fogging problem is non existant thanks to the excessive ventilaiton lol.  Whats everyones opinions?

Paintball masks are made differently from airsoft masks for a reason. Put some money into a nice higher end mask that will give you more ventilation. check out pbreview.com to see what people have said about their goggles and fogging.

I like being able to use my eyes when Im done playing paintball, so I use a paintball mask.

Yeah, I don't think airsoft masks are made to same specs as paintballs masks, so there might be more of a chance of one failing. RoboCop is right, go for a high eng mask...
In the broad spectrum of bad ideas I think this would have to rate somewhere between running with scissors and sticking your pecker in the toaster.

You use a mask for airsoft? I've never met anyone who used anything more than shooting glasses. And masks in airsoft are not meant to take a .68cal paintball slamming hard into the screen. It's meant to stop little .25 gram bb's. If you like the ability to see, and don't want to make a sudden trip to the hospital, don't use that mask for paintball.

Are you talking about the ones that are wire mesh on the "lens?" Those are the worst, even for airsoft. Just throw them away.

That being said, you are aware that paintballs are filled with liquid, right?

I'll never understand why the mask is such a point of frivolity in paintball/airsoft/etc .

It is quite obviously there to protect your face. 

You get what you pay for.

they might, i mean paintball guns are not the weakest thing. i have gotten hit millions of times in the face by paintballs and it feels like your getting hit by a rock. Airsofts are not as powerful i think, but then again the ammo is solid plastic. Clap
