J&J or Lapco

   I was looking around at barrels and the J&J, lapco, and hammerhead barrels stuck out.  Of coarse the hammerheads are way too expensive for a 16 year old waiting to get a job for the summer.  Which barrel is better?  The J&J or the lapco, and which model of them would be good?  I was thinking about getting an adapter for a apex tip if I got a J&J.
