After a little bit of research, it seems the laws are much more relaxed that I first imagined.
 
I am now an Atheistic Minister. LOL

How legitimate is this?

After ordination, could one actually and legally marry others?  If so, what are some other bonuses one could take advantage of being an ordained minister?

Depending on what state you are in, yes you can. Some states require more than others, most have pretty relaxed laws on it.
