Went out today to make a NY classic for lunch. Pluggged Pickles, large dill pickle, you take a boning knife and make three cuts to hollow out pickle, you take a slice of ham, a slice of swiss, some spicy brown mustard, and finally another slice of ham. Roll the meat cand cheese, and insert into the hollow you made in pickle.
You take s small plastic cup, place uncut end of pickle in cup, wrap with wax paper and raise sections to eat without dripping pickle juice on ya. A NY Classic lunch. Edited by oldsoldier - 15 November 2010 at 7:59pm |

Wouldn't it be much easier to just wrap it all up on the outside instead of spending precious time hollowing out a pickle?

Almost like wrapping the meat around the bread of a sandwich?

For more fun, put it on a stick, better/fry it, give it to people and tell them its a corndog. Watch their faces as they unsuspectingly bite into it.

Except my bread comes sliced and optimized for sandwich creation. A solid pickle is not.

^^^You're just afraid of new things.
I mean, come on . . . doesn't everyone really want their pickle hollowed out? |
