Well the final wrench turned, the modded CRF450X is ready. New exhaust (FMF), new 'R' cams (horsepower increase) new 'R' rear suspention guaged for 250lb (more control), new rising rate linkage for rear (more control on rebound), and new high flow accelerator pump (self explanitory).

Back yard track times went from a 1min30 avg, to 1min13 for three full out practice laps early today. Momma says I look more relaxed and not fighting the bike like I used to with old suspention and wider slow rev powerband. Clean it up, oil change, and final checks and hopefully if temps are below 90 out for first true race since the big crash two months ago (bruised ribs, slight concussion). I am not going out if over 90, comman sense, heat injury prone due to all the drugs I take. There are a few more races before season ends. Still waiting for the Lincoln Abbott track to open, still a lot of bravo sierra on permits and stuff. I watched the Unidilla 450 race today, bit of motivation for tomorrow, and I ran the Unidilla 'Pro' track last year on a few open practices, so know how hard it is, the gravity cavity almost ate me twice, pros do it in 2min15, my best was 3min22, that scares me on how fast the 'pros' go.

Hopefully I will get some more pics up before season over. I am getting a 2012 Kawasaki KX450F for next year http://kx.kawasaki.com/450/#specs, I have been working on legs during break and can actually 'kick' the CRF. Next year may be my last actual 'racing' season, will just run for fun after then. I will be sponsored by local dealer for parts, service and track support. Gave me great deal on the KX, my CRF plus $3000 after season ends, KX is due in late October. May get better trade now that it is modded for 'larger' riders. Will be running Vet A and oldest rider in circuit unless someone else steps up.
