Well I am now betting NO NHL season this year, and the economic effect on the same small markets that failed and almost failed during the last non-season will return. Not to mention the single focus event centers for the NHL that the concessions and other service workers will have no income, AGAIN.

The 'Ice Box' home of the USHL 'Lincoln Stars" is sold out for the majority of the remaining season,(we got our season tickets when this fiasco started) as well as Omaha's new Ralston Arena, and other markets in the area. Our annual trip to see the 'Wild' is off, Jed Ortmeyer of the 'Wild' is still in Omaha and still doing pickup with us. He tells us odds are poor to worse of a season, he is contracted to the KHL and leaves in a few weeks if NHL stays out.

The league was revbounding and interest increasing, now the repair work will take years...AGAIN.

Blaming "small markets" for this lockout is pretty silly. This is a cash grab by the owners, plain and simple. I was betting no season in July, writing's been on the wall for a long time.

Not blaming the small markets, just the effect on the small markets this one will have based on the last one. Winnepeg lost the team, reorganized 1 season and now this...will be devestating to the market and the fans/concessions and such.

All in all, I am really disappointed. This is the second whole season lockout I have been through.
