Shady?  Probably.  The way I see it though, at least if this was in the U.S., it's no different than certain "news shows" spitting out their propoganda and claiming it to be journalism.  Sure it's dumb, but it does say, in pretty noticeable font, that it is a paid advertisement.  It's nothing abnormaly shady around here.  I'm sure Whale will be happy to address the journalistic aspect of it.
