Has me thinking of getting a new phone. Basically it allows you to legally "jailbreak" phones from what I gather. I have a very basic understanding of the systems as a whole; I know there are two major types, on being gsm. I'm pretty sure the old/New phone must be compatible and of the same system. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a comprehensive list of each type of phone, etc...
TL;DR;couldn't understand the senseless ramble; I'm trying to find a new phone online without having to go to the Verizon store. Ideally I'd like to be able to take the sim card out of my droid razr, put it in a new, compatible phone and be on my merry way. |

I thought they passed a bill, making jailbreaking illegal?
