I can't get my Phenom to shoot over 240 psi. I have new O rings new velocity spring. I use a stock barrel and a 3000 hpa tank I tried other tanks and still I cannot adjust psi over 240 psi. I tried a tech t bolt and it didn't help so I went back to the stock bolt and no improvement.

First, do you know if the HPA tank is a low-pressure output or high pressure output tank?
That's usually the culprit in these situations. LP output tanks are regulated to a lower output pressure for high-end electronic markers which operate at pressures around 300psi. If you hook one of these tanks up to a high-pressure marker like the X7, there' simply not enough pressure to make the marker work properly. The next culprit would be extremely poor paint-to-barrel match. If the paintballs have too much space between them an the barrel wall, you get blow-by which will lower the velocity, sometimes significantly. Lastly, my thought would be unbalanced valve and mainsprings. But this is a rarity. |

The easiest way to fix the unbalanced valve and mainsprings is to swap out the mainspring for a stiffer one, this will keep the valve open longer (the amount of time the valve is open is called dwell) and the longer the dwell, the greater the volume of air that is allowed to escape and push the paintball down the barrel.
Another thing to check for is to make sure the powertube doesn't have any cracks in it. That can cause loss of pressure upon firing which results in a lower velocity. |

Do they even make a stiffer main spring for an x7 phenom?

Two years ago I purchased my Phenom X7 used and had the same issue. I swapped out the spring and had no issues. After many compressions, a spring losses it's ability to return to it's normal state.
Take a look at Tippmann Parts http://www.tippmannparts.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=spring+phenom&Search=+++
