Paintball

I think of the game of paintball.

I think of playing paintball, then I think of how poor I am and I won't be able to play again until I can get $35 for entry and paint :(

I imagine myself playing in the current surroundings.

I go back to a game about a year ago. I was placed on a team with a bunch of newbs. It was a woods field, that was pretty cool.

So anyway, the buzzer sounds and i sprint way down field. As I hit about midfield (on top of a highpoint in the field) I pause long enough to give a maddening battle cry and give a massive dramatic wave pointing my team dwon towards the opposing force (lol i got a little caught up in the game, flight of the valkries was pounding out the speakers and I was pumped up). Then I continued my sprint down field.

I come under fire and hit cover. From there i start screaming orders and pointing out enemy spots. Then i look back only to find that Ive only been followed by 1 person. A girl from my church. Though I was glad to have one person down with me, its not the kinda massive battle charge i belived was behind me. (my noob team was still creeping around outside my base)

Needless to say I went down in blaze of glory. And i truned back and cursed my team the whole way back and scareamed for them to get up there and fight and quit being wusses.

So i spend my time in the dead box (this game u get shot and your out for five minutes then you reutrn to the game). So I throw my mask on and charge out expecting to come out in the middle of a fire fight for the flag in our base. But I charge out into our base into nothing. Im pretty confused but I see our flag is stil in place.

So I run all the way across field leaping dry creeck beds and bunkers all the way. Finally I run up on the other base and a huge fight for the flag. My team is obviously unexperienced. They didnt really know what they were doing but they had at least gotten the balls to attack. Though i threatened to shoot a few of my own if they didnt stop trying to use me as cover.

After a minute, the only enemies left are a few newbs, huddled in a bunker in front of the flag. So i go around the side and take them out. Now the only ones left are a few scattered folks here and there in the area. Nothing too serious. So i yell at the people behind me for cover and make a break for the flag box. I get there and freeze. Theres no flag. So im pretty confused. Everyone on my team is still ifghting like theyre after the flag, but its not there. Thats when I see a big force of like8 enemies marching out of the dead box toward me. but to be live again they have to touch the pole im currently standing by. Tehy all freeze and start looking at each other, trying to decide if they wanna touvh the pole. So I give them a hand signall to turn around and go back in the base, Then i back up 10 feet get behind a tree and put a bead on the pole. They decided to go back in.

Thats when the siren goes off meaning game over. Thats when I learn what happened that game. Iturned out that right before I made my grab at the flag. A team mate of mine grabbed it and ran. But another team mate of mine (the girl who made the original charge with me), was cureently having mask fogging problems. So she sees someone running toward her, back toward our base (our flag carrier) and opens up on him. Then My buddy picked it up and ran it back.

lol so thats what comes to mind when I trhink of paintball.
