Airsoft

It is fun. Me and my friends play it in the off-season of paintball or after we run out of equipment for paintball. Not trying to bash paintball, but airsoft is also cheaper, making it easy to have as a second hobby. It isn't expensive if you find a good AEG (must be plastic to be cheap).  And since the only replacement equipment is bb's, this also makes it cheaper. It's also fun because the guns are scale models of the real thing. Here's a site picture of my gun.



I also have a spring M4 and a spring pistol.

So, airsoft is a hobby that isn't required to "takeover" your paintball activities to play. You can still play paintball and play airsoft too.

yea its pretty fun but the only thing wrong with it is that they are cheap and cheapy. its still fun tho. i have a black and silver spring pistol and a black spring pistol. i also have a mp5. its good cause you can play in the house.(even though you might make a few holes).

 

It's pretty fun to go back in the woods and screw around with friends, and it's very cheap.

If you play with friends you never have the problem with cheating. The guns are usually cheaper, and bbs are cheaper, and there is a larger variety to the guns.

I've got one of those mini electric ones. They're pretty fun when you're close enough for them to hurt.

I play in my basement with massive pillow forts with my friends. Its fun.

GAH!  For God sakes, stop thinking that airsoft is all about spring guns!  If you think that they don't hurt, are cheap etc. etc.  Let me light into you with one of my AEG's. 

I was thinking of playing it as a second hobby but I was under the impression that it was really expensive, if thats not tru maybe me and some of my friends will pick up some gear.

btw what are u supposed to use for face protection? not just sunglasses i hope. Goggles? or are u supposed to cover ur whole face?

Most players just use goggles or some sort of glasses, yes even sunglasses. Just as long as your eyes are tottaly covered you are fine, being shot in the face is not that bad (just looks like a pimple, lol). In some ways airsoft can be expensive... if you want that extreme accuracy and range. I myself have a Gas M16, I love it. Right now I have it run on compressed air, so its free, all I gotta pay for is BB's, so i poayed around $400 for the gun itself. I highly reccomend not going with the AEG's due to the amount of problems with them such as the battery "dieing", warn springs and gears. Also most break within a few years due to the cheap matierial there made of... unless you get all metal parts.
