Theres been alot of excessive bumping going on, especially today. I'm not just talking about one or two topics being bumped here and there. I'm talking about certain users bumping mulitple thread within minutes of eachother.

Do you mean posting? Or bumping? There's a big difference.
Posting something, no matter how irrelevant, can't be considered bumping unless it's pretty blatant.
Bumping at all is stupid. 'Cept maybe in the Marker Gallery, that place can get semi-stagnant, and people don't look past the first 10-ish posts.

Wait, a 2 year old thread? Wow...
A guy in the mechanical 'cocker forums on PbN bumped a thread from 2001 last month...talked about an $1100 STO Autococker...it was funny.

I think it should be if it is blatant. If the post has any useful information or revelance I would not consider it bumping no matter how old it is. Also, if it is a help post and the person has not received help I think a bump is alright.

Psyrecx, you were being VERY troll-ish in a thread not too long ago...so..
And yes, EXCESSIVE bumping, intentionally should be punished, but as I recall, anything to page 3 is fair game.
If you make a post, leave, then come back and it's on 4 or 5, go for it, since maybe your question wasnt answered?
I think it depends on circumstance.

Actually I trolled that thread because it was created by a person who had just trolled one of mine and has trolled most threads I post in.
As I said some bumping is warrented. But go take a look at the marker gallery and see what has happend in the past hour.
