ALL FUNDS ARE CANADIAN!!! Well my neighbour said he would buy my a-5 for $650 (good price but considering the money I put into it, I propably wouldn't sell it for less) I AM STUCK WITH CO2! I am sorry about the big letters I just want to stop the questions that people will ask. Edited by CIA356 |

If you think you're getting a good deal for your A-5, I would say go for it.
That said, if you don't want to be paying a ton of cash for paint, sticking with the A-5 might be a good idea. |

Well my a-5 has an r/t on it so I have been using alot of paint as it is. And I tried looking around for other a-5's around the same quality as mine and they are usually selling for around 400 max. So I think it might be a good time to say goodbye to it.

I'd go for it if that's as good a price as you'll get for the A5. I think you'll have fun upgrading and customizing the Ion to your likings.

I dont know, I have to disagree with North, the A-5 has way cooler upgrades, that you could still put in it, so i would stick with A-5. And if money isnt a huge problem, then what the heck, why not replace one of your upgrades you already have and mix it up a little bit. That may sound stupid but paintball is all about having fun. But I cant stop you if you want a different gun. I still dont get the big deal aobut an Ion |

Well i am gunna see if my neighbour is still interested and if so I think i will probably get the ion. Is what I have listed a good setup to start with.
Is the anti siphon and the stabilizer overkill? |

no, its not, the ion will start having horrible shootdown even with the slightest amounts of liquid co2 getting into the gun and the hoses will become frosted and then drip all over ur board causing the board to fry so i think that should be fine.

Hey i had the exact same problem as you, I sold my a-5, which really wasnt that tricked out, just a new barrel an rt and new bolt. So i sold that and bought the Ion, The ion is really a good marker for the price. although the first thing i sugest you get is nitrous and a new barrel as for deciding what to do it depends what you play really, if u play alot of woodsball then maybe that durrable A-5 is the marker for you (not saying the Ion isnt durable) If you play alot of speedball/airball then i would definitly sugest getting the ion. $$650$$ for any A-5 idc how tricked out it is is probably close to the best your going to get from somone so i would sell it to the person while u still have the opurtunity. Im sure your gonna be mad that im asking but what is it thats limiting you to only Co2? i used co2 in the Ion and it still works great. Hope this helped you some. -Josh Oh and awblah the big deal about the ion is its preformance for the price. |

Got my wife a blue ION so I can shoot her because she wouldnt let me shoot her unless she had a chance to shoot back. Im a diehard Tippmann scenario baller and would kill for my Tippmann so I cant believe I strayed and got her that ION. Looks cool and all but isn't nearly as reliable or low maintenance as a Tippmann. Only reason I got it is because shes so tiny and can't carry around a big ol manly cannon like me
Keep the A5 man, especialy if you can only shoot CO2

Well I kinda live in the middle of nowhere and the only fields are little local ones and there isn't enough demand out here for HPA, so no one fills it. |

Make sure you've got anti-siphon(properly setup!) and a stabalizer, and you'll be fine.
DO NOT RUN CO2 through the stock reg-you'll destroy your 'noid. |

I watched a tourney for a couple of hours a few weeks back, and about 30% of everyone playing was using an Ion, and they were screaming. |
