It looks like they may have screwed themselves this year. They expect people to pay $65 in players fees and are only allowed to use field paint at $60 a box, paint that only they seem to have so noone else knows how good the paint is or how it will fit.

Yeah, I might make it out there

I've got like a 125$ pay comming soon, if it manages to get here before friday, I'll be out there...if not then I'm getting a new tank, so we'll see how it all works out

If I do go though, I'll be bringing a about 4 guys with me

Not me. Dave has screwed up Hell Survivors, and they will get no more of my $$$.

MMG & TWC are no longer part of the option list, IMHO.

If I attack, follow me

If I flee, kill me

If I die, avenge me

I don't get it. They say it isn't to limit players, they are doing it for the money. They make between 150-250k on entry fees alone. This can only hurt their profit. I dont see nearly as many people showing up this year.

Let's see I wanted to go for both days. Which means I will need to get a hotel, pay for entry fees and get atleast 2000 paintballs. Thats going to cost $175 not counting food or gas. Not to mention the money I've spent preparing. It just doesnt seem like its worth it anymore.

I agree. I am all for capitalism, but they seem content to kill the goose that lays the Golden Eggs.

Dave must need another Hummer ...

If I die, avenge me

If you read thier "Whats New For 2005" section where they talk about how its going to be FPO this year. It also says player fees will be only $20 for 6 hours, the monster game is 6 hours per day. So should we only have to pay $40 instead of the $60 they are charging? It excludes major events, I think the FPO rule should be excluded in that case as well.

I'm starting to get pissed. I was suppose to head out today so I can make registration at 7am tomarrow, but as usual my ride is nowhere to be found and I can't get ahold of him.

no, red was just a bit outnumbered i think. i was actually amazed at how well the field was being run. the game tags are actually hard plastic with bar codes, and they were using computer scanners to log everyone going on to the field. they were printing up score pages, with accurate scores this way.

and wow, you really couldn't go anywhere without seeing a ref. i went into the village, and counted 11 refs there, about half of them standing out in the open where they could get shot up.

all in all, i was impressed with how much the field had changed, but it's still way too expensive to go more than once or twice a year.

Hey Patrick! Long time no see. I wish I would have known you were planning on attending. I played for yellow (as always) so I probably would have not gotten the chance to see you.

Yes, the field and the refs have all improved. I was very impressed. All in all I had a great time and would be more then willing to play again next year. Yes its FPO but free air made up most of that expense very quickly. Air lines for the most part were none existent. I hope next year more people will be able to go.
