Ok, ive been playing for a few years now, and im wanting to upgrade to something more accurate than my flatline (I have a custom 98), im not really concerned about about the loss of range either. Im debating between the 18"Dye Boomstick, and the 16" sniper barrel made by tippmann. Which one should I get? Also, if you could think of any other barrels feel free to let me know. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Boomsticks are very nice, but not 18 inches. That is obscene; get a 14 at the most. "Sniper barrels" suck ass. Don't buy. Here are other suggestions, though I'm not sure that all these are available in 98C threads:

Don't go over about 14in on a barrel. I agree with hybrid-sniper, but add the J&J Ceramic to the list.

18" is over doing it. Don't go over 14". Dye barrels are great but a little over priced. I'd get a 12" or 14" All American. They run about $70.

12-14" the thought of the day: The longer the barrel, the more air you use for the same accuracy |

Yeah, Don't go over 14.
I would say Empire (My friend loves it) or Redz Pepperstick (I bought it...So accurate.) That's my opinion. |

The Boomstick material (Stainless Steel or Titanium) have very high wear tolerances. The Ultralite (Aluminum) is lighter, but will wear more quickly that it's big brother Boomy. The Boomsticks are heavy, but are very resistant to scratching, pitting, etc. Accuracy is nearly identical, that is to say, very good. |
