I know I think so but, what do you guys think should Tippmann listen to our ideas. I know other companies listen to there marker owners ideas.
Modding not milling With all of the modding to improve Tippmann looks and performance shouldn't they? I believe with enough ranting and raving they might. A few things that I would like to see Tippmanns that are sold in more then 3 colors. A GTA trigger with set screws GTA silicone grips (like dye3) Polished internals Lighter trigger spring and the list goes on. Does any one else agree with me, that there is a lot of unnecessary metal in the Tippmann 98 / custom pro. I might be crazy but, since we own or have owned at least one Tippmann and many of us our experienced owners they should at least take the time to read / listen to us.(sorry run on sentence) |

i agree, but in order for tippmann to be able to fund some of those things they would have to stop production of other stuff. i would like to see the E-Bolt come back though.

There are a lot of people that use tippmanns. There are fields that rent them out, woodsballers, speedballers, scenario players. What tippmann does from what I can see is make a rudimentary marker that can be customized to fit your specific wants/needs. Part of the problem with your suggestion is that theres no way tippmann could listen to the suggestions of all of their customers. For example: You suggest silicone grips and colors.....I may have no use for that. In order to cater to the suggestions of all of their customers, they'd have to stop their already successful operations and branch out into other markets.....markets that already have well established companies running things. Lets say they start making grips......now they're competing with Dye stickies. Lets say they start making milsim mods for the scenario players....now they're competing with a host of other companies that already make these. The point is that theres such a diverse base of customers, that theres no way they could cater everyone's suggestions.

The upgrades that Tippmann sells for their guns, are mostly stuff that nobody else sells. Why would Tippmann wanna make a GTA Sticky Grip? They are already made by DYE. The only reason half the GTA parts are made is to give players an option on what to upgrade to, while other companies are still developing parts.

Im positive that tippmann looks at these forums to better the
company and its customer service. But I doubt that they change any
marker. They spend years upon years finalizing the design for them,
just to have some kid coplain that there is too much metal on it.

Yet they are releasing two hoppers the faster hopper is slower then a y boarded egg which can be bought for $60 which is the about the same price Tippmanns hopper will cost and the same average price a used halo goes for. I believe I proved my point though, I do not feel like debating this with you any more then in this one post. Tippmann is now competing in air soft and in the hopper part of the paintball business. I never said that Tippmann should listen to every idea but, I hear the same complaints from many Tippmann owners speedball and woodsball players. I just meant that if Tippmann listened to the general ideas and opinions from there consumers they may sell even more markers and upgrades around the world. I'm a Tippmann dealer and proud of it! the new product line which is comming out is indicitative of the rest of their products. The product is user friendly very upgradable and most of all DEPENDABLE. I hope Tippmann keeps up the good job, my strong sales depend on it! |

I prefer the tippmanns the way they are... they're so generic, that you can change one little thing on them and they become your own gun, and people recognize that. A simple selection of paintjobs and generic upgrades allows them to produce the markers cheaper, but because of the sheer volume of parts, there can be thousands of variations.
I like the fact that (though many own a-5's) few have green ones, etc. |

I guess I am the only one that would like to see stock and milled / upgraded (new) on the marker at the same time.

I feel Tippmann should offer a really true custom shop. All other real gun makers do this. If you want something and pre pay and talk with and or meet them they should offer a custom made either paint or some other modd if you paying for it why not have a truely custom gun done by no other than tippmann. |

I agree with you, I like most of what tippmann puts out because of its simplicity. And as for what the guy said about tippmann using to much metal in its desighns; Metal is better, or at least costwise it is, the metal makes tippmanns durable and reliable, I work with composites all the time on the aircraft I work on and yes many of them are better than metal, but they cost about five times as much. The best thing I can say to the guy that started this thread is this; Tippmann knows the meaning of the acronim (not sure of spelling) K.I.S.S. |

acronym?
Get out the square guys Tippmann can do so much more but, they rather put out a hopper which better preform as or better then most of it competition of they plan to sell them for such a price. "simplicity" how would you compare your average barrel to the apex when it some to simplicity. When did I say Tippmann shouldn't use metal? "Does any one else agree with me, that there is a lot of unnecessary metal in the Tippmann 98 / custom pro." I believe what I said is true the gun would be lighter (1 less flame against Tippmann). I would like a lighter Tippmann. When it comes to being informed I just figured that out of all people, most active members here would know about this before other forum members. We have a mind reader here (snake) I don't think members are really ill-informed, I have been a member here for a long time and I believe I know how things work here. |

I agree that I whould like to see a lighter tippmann, however, the only way they could make the tippmann as reliable as it is and more lightwieght is by using composites, which whould drive the costs way up.

Or just use a little less metal, Natural Newbies 98 is light and still extremely durable... Thanks for agreeing.
