i was sitting around today and i was thinking what happens when a paintball hits a branch it busts. So wat would be away around of this? I figured it out today what if there was alot of those little airsoft paintballs in a paintball. it would function normaly i guess but if it was to hit a twig or branch it would still send the little paintballs at the target which would then possible hit your target more than once like a shotgun effect. It could work couldnt it?

how would you keep the balls together in the barrel???
basically the only way to do this effectively besides muzzle loading is to create a shotgun...so the idea is basically a shotgun... |

By putting 6mm bb paint inside the shell of a .68cal paint that way would feed normaly from a hopper

so you get what? 4 maybe 5 little balls in one of those. Then when it did hit someone the paint would have to burst through two geletan shells. Its just not practical.

well they 68call ball should explod when u shoot it so it lunches th 5call balls at the enamy so u could hit 4or 5 guys at one time

well hey its just an idea. But the outed shell could be made a little thinner that way it might work. The only way to truly tell is if someone made some and tested them out other wise theres no telling what it could do.

maybe you could also make a brake away outer shell. that way there wouldnt be any problems with reinforeced paintballs that will not bust. or to make the original idea more pratical fill the paintball with paint that way if it didnt hit a branch its more likely to splat when it hits your target. Again im just throwing out ideas |

look outside the box, carry a special gun loaded with lubricated rubber sponge balls saturated with paint for those hard to get through to spots.

NO, I think they might go forward because the momentum of the larger shell would be pushing them that way, However, they could break inside the barrel- think, you have five or six LOOSE balls inside of a shell, they go from 0fps to 280fps an under five seconds, the small balls may be forced to the back of the outer shell and then.. bust the outer shell because they hit the "weaker" outer shell hard, then you have five little balls hanging out in your barrel.
I have an amazing idea though,you get a 45 inch barrel and just poke it through the brush and BAM problem solved... |

ok i went in the wrong direction. Ok . When i said Airsoft paintballs i was just using that as an example. But an actual paintball manufactor could possible make the little paintballs slightly larger with a more brittle shell and have the outer shell the same as always.
