I have heard that the X7 feel flimsy, other places I have heard that it is solid. A guy at a local shop told me that it had a lot of plastic parts, but he was only able to look at it for a short time.
So, to all of you X7 owners, does the X7 stand up to the A-5 and 98c in sturdiness? |

Cant say for sure since I've only handled them, but the plastic seems about the same as on the A-5. The only place it has more plastic is the handgaurds and mag. the mag seems flimsy, but the rest seems well built.

I've played around with one at the proshop. It feels a little lighter then you might expect, but it doesn't seem like it would break on you.

I just got my hands on one just after I started this topic actually xD
The reason I think people felt that it was flimsy was that alot of the things on it ARE flimsy (rails, clip, etc.) But once you take all that crap off, the body is as sturdy as an A-5 |

The rails flimsy? I don't know what you were handling, but on mine, they're screwed right to the handguard, and are anything buy flimsy. The magazine seems lighter and crappier than it is....I took a direct hit on it a few weeks ago with no adverse effects. Its as durable as any other tippmann marker if you ask me. |

Ditto to what Reb said. The X7 is solid, just like the other Tippmanns. The magazine is the flimsiest part, but that's just because it is hollow - it is made from the same sturdy material as the other "plastic" parts.

^^^don't be ignorant.
they're illegal. they can't go to school. Alot of them can't even read spanish. Plus, what gives us more right to be here than them? I, for one, think it's sad that these people have to go through this crap. |

Americans have the right to be in america, so do all others as long as they go through the same **edited** we do. as in taxes and what not. **edited** illegals, and **edited** ne one that supports them, they are worthless scum of the earth and they will bring the country i love down and down

Wow, your overwhelmingly stupid. The reason that a lot of illegal immigrants can't even read in their native lanugage is that many areas of their home countries that don't have public schools. Additionally English is an extremely hard language to try to learn for most educated people, let alone people without a true education. True they don't pay taxes, but they make so little income that they would be paying a menail amount to begin with. VERY few illegals commit crimes, because they know if they get caught it is right back the ****hole they came from. Finally what jobs are you refering to? Dish washer boy? Chinese food delivery? Menial construction jobs? I don't see many illegal immegrant bank managers, teachers, tech workers, etc. I find them annoying at some points (try working a western union transaction with someone who can't talk to you...) but for the most part they are decent hard working people just trying to support a family. |

I handled an X7 a few days ago. The thing is a tank, much like the way A-5s and 98s are. Tippmann would never make a gun that isnt something of quality (Minus Triumph... I don't know where they were going with that. "Targeted for the new or entry level paintball players"... I thought that was what the 98c was for
).As for your illegal citizens mumble jumble. I worked with them over the summer and all that I have to say is that even though they can't speak much english, they still work harder than I ever have day after day to earn a lower paycheck than I did (Yes, he actully scribbled in the sand how much he made after i made an attempt to talk about dinero, thats money in espanol). If I was hiring people, there is no question I would take an illegel over American because the quality of work. If you find yourself acting like THIS(Yeah, watch it) on a regular basis, then you need to go to college and get a job these illegals will never be able to have. When did the X7 come out just curious bee out of the game since 2002
illegals do alot for this county with out them orange juice and lettuce would be real expensive and California wine would be untouchable for most people and USA made paint ball markers would be a lot more expensive
you should educate your self instead of listening to people that didn't educate them selves on the matter

I, for one, have actually been into a house that supported illegal immigrants. I can tell you, they wouldn't pay taxes as a citizen either. With the wages they're making, they would be on well-fare, which would cost the government money, thus actually RAISING your precious low-taxes. i could go on. Oh, and btw, it's THEIR, not THERE. Before you call anyone ignorant, you should really learn your OWN LANGUAGE. Edited by Styro Folme - 17 June 2007 at 5:49am |

Think back to another weapon that people didn't like because it had a lot of plastic in it. The M-16, and look how long it was our countries main combat infantryman's weapon. Just got the X7 myself as I have been a longtime Tippmann owner, and other than a small airleak issue, this marker seems to be as rock solid as every other Tippmann I have owned.

i compared them in the store and the x7 felt top heavy compared to the a5 but the guy said it is basiclly the same but i think tippmann fixed some thing that was wrong with the cyclone
i did find the ion interesting though they had a basic one for $225 with lifetime fixes if anything breaks but then i need an air tank so thats another $150-200 |
