This is the hand guard I installed. I bought mine from a local gun show. http://www.israeli-weapons.com/store/rail_systems/p10.htm It took a great deal of careful grinding to make it fit. It's not a very easy mod to do correctly. To answer your question, the weight is comparable to a real AK47. I'm debating about removing the extra mag to save a little weight. It really doesn't add that much to the overall look I don't think. Opinions? |

keep the mag but get 3 or 4 7.62x39 rounds and drop them in. use expended rounds but press in new bullets.
