So many people have asked me this question in the past week it's rediculous, so I thought I'd ask it here.
Not really interested in who you are voting for. Just want to know why you are or aren't voting. I'm not voting in this election because I dislike both candidates. And to upset the people who say, "OMG IT'S YOUR CIVIC DUTY!!1!!1". I'm just as much of a citizen as anyone else, so they can go to hell. |

I'm voting because it is the only time I get to officially voice my opinion.
I figure one should vote even if you don't like the candidates. Voting for third party candidates is a message in and of itself to the two major parties saying that you aren't happy with them. I also believe that if you DON'T vote, then you can't complain when the stuff hits the fan. |

I'm voting because I feel strongly about participating in this election, and if I didn't
vote, I'd be mad at myself for not doing so. |

I'm not because the postal system sucks/I'm an idiot for waiting so long.
Had my absentee ballot request form for about 2 months before I mailed it...just about 2 weeks ago. I am mad at myself for not voting. But I'm from Jersey, so either way Obama wins. |

I keep telling myself I won't complain, and I intend to uphold that standard. I figure that both candidates are qualified to do their jobs, and whoever wins will probably do a better job than Bush. As long as I get paid at the end of the month, I don't really care too much. |

There is a local proposition that would have our judges appointed instead of elected. I don't like that.

I'm not going to bother. McCain is going to win Georgia anyway, so I won't bother wasting the time. |

I'm voting because I live in Wisconsin, it's what we do here in the upper midwest. Also I'd like a pragmatic intellectual back in the white house. |

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos. |

I'm voting because I feel it is my civic duty as well as my only method of influencing events that will ultimately shape my life over the next 4-8 years. Not voting because you don't like either candidate or because you think the opposition or your own party will carry a state whether you vote or not shows a clear lack of understanding the electoral process as well as apathy to one's direction in life.

I'm voting because I feel like I have no right to complain if I don't vote. It's the one time I really get to put in my 2 cents in a way, and I'm not just going to pass the opportunity.
