Hi,
i am really new to paintball, but have shot some of my friends guns and seen how they work and stuff. I have been into airsoft for a while, but i wanted to try something different. I found this at amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001A32E0/sr= 1 -7/qid=1091138338/ref=sr_1_7/002-9319370 -3372020?%5Fencoding=UTF8&n=3415511&s=sporting- goods&v=glance, (if the link doesnt work, just copy and paste it. sorry if it doesnt work) and was wondering if it was a good deal and if the gun was good (i have read good reviews about both the gun and the company). I am kinda on a buget, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx |

get this: 98c(Custom) 20 oz CO2 V-Force Armour(good, cheap mask im told.)(www.paintballgear.com is where they have this) and that should start you off. then you can upgrade like this: 12" Lapco Bigshot Barrel. HPA(Nitro) Electric hopper like the halo b w/ Rip Drive if you want a more expensive one. or if you want a cheaper one go for the revvy(revolution). then to something like a R/T(only if you're gonna be playing in the woods) or the E-Bolt.(expensive. only if you want) you can look some of these things up and see what you want. first just get used to the stock 98c. and Welcome to the forums!!! |

yes, don't waste all your money to super upgrade your gun before you have even played with it. First play with your gun stock for a while and see what you need upgraded. Then spend some money on upgrades.

Thanks for the help. i think i will just get the 98 custom and play with it
for a while, then upgrade it later. Is it a good gun stock though? And most of all, is it reliable? |

Quite frankly, the 98c is the most durable and reliable stock gun on the market. It's preformance as a stock gun easily beats those of its competitors. My friend ran his over with his car and it still works fine( though i dont reccomend doing this ) . Welcome and Enjoy!

Well, I'm kinda on a buget, and about 170 to 190 will be going to the
gun, so depending on if I can get a good job in the near future (im only 15), it might be a while before I get any upgrades, but thanx for the list. and also, what about the flatline barrel system? |

ill tell you this and since ur a newb ill go easy. TIPPMANNS ARE THE BEST GUN OUT THERE WHEN IT COMES TO RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE. play stock 4 a while. then decide what youd rather have first, firepower or accuracy. if u choos firepower get a Response Trigger ($65) and get a 12v revy. if u chose accuracy get a barrel thats known for its performance, dont get a cheap one, and throw in some kinda expansion chamber. hope this helps |

Thanx for the info. I wasnt talking about getting a new barrel now, i was
just wondering if it was a good system or not. Im just gonna get the gun and play stock till i get the money to upgrade (that should take a while). Also, if I say anythingy stupid, dont be afraid to tell me just cause im a newb. people learn from makin mistakes. One more thing, can anyone from SD, CA tell me where the best place to paintball is (other than Mr. Paintball) |

ya, i heard paintball was a lot more exciting than airsoft, so im gonna
give it a try. ive heard that its can hurt a little to get hit i am used to getting hit ( my friend hits me when i make fun of him anyway, from
what ive heard, painballing is becoming one of the most popular "extreme" sports in the world, and if anything has something to do with being extreme, ive either already done it, or am on my way to! |
