ive read that the paint on the j&j ceramic scratches easily. if you put a couple of clear coats on would this fix that problem?

dont bother, mine only scratches when I hit it against a tree (accisentaly).

mines got some scratches, but the gun it goes on is broke spo i havent been paying attention to it and all my crap (except my nitro tanks, there my baby's) gets scrathes becasue i take bad care of it

I haven't had issues with scratching on my ceramic. I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you don't try to chop down a tree with the barrel like Sarge14 it should be fine .

^ not nescesarly. a deep enough scratch or indent in the barrel could petrude into the inside of the barrel casuing the ball to hit that dent inside the barrel and chop it/slow it down/ send it off course..etc.  also scraches on your gun over time could wear down the performance, for example if you scrach the auto cocker pneumatics, the tubes, the bolt, the ram...any of this can screw up the gun.
The desire for polyester is just to powerful.

Oh, you really thought about that one eh glass? u feel big now with that big post? lol. Now really what r the chances of a scrach being deep to go inside. really.
