I posted in another thread about the flatline, which I recently installed. At the same time I installed a response trigger on my buddy's 98c, which also has a flat line.

I found the response trigger to be good and bad.

If you plan to do any sniping don't bother with the respone trigger. As I posted in my other thread the flatline is deadly accurate. The response trigger messes up all accuracy for some reason (I'm guessing air pressure.) How do I know it was the response? If we lowered the response, basically turned it off to semi auto, the accuracy shot back up and became deadly accurate. When we turned the response back on at 80' we were within a 4' diamater of our target.

If you plan for fast action and your field allows fully auto... GET THE RESPONSE TRIGGER. Wow, just the sound of that thing shooting is almost enough to make me... Well maybe that's too much info. Seriously though, I'd hate to go up against someone in a fast action who has the response trigger. It IS fully auto and the "Sweet spot" is not that hard to find. If you have the response, and you want to keep someone pinned down in one spot you can do this very easily... just point and spray.

I haven't played with the E-trigger but for the added cost (difference between response vs. Etrigger), I don't see how a gun could shoot any faster. One last comment, consider upgrading your tank size. The response trigger burns through Co2.

Come on, is this review day?  If your r/t is not performing accurately while sweetspotting, or shooting fast, then it probably isn't your r/t.  Bad accuracy could come from the bolt not cycling all the way through, or your valve is not recharging fast enough.  My r/t stays very accurate even at wide open.

Also, the kick of a Tippy is very substantial, and it could be throwing off your aim more than you realize.

Yeah Tippmanns kick a lot, and that will throw your accuracy off. If your gun is heavy, it won't kick as much, but it still shakes a lot. Have you ever seen a video of a machine gun firing? It doesnt shoot one straight stream of bullets, the bullets spread out because the recoil keeps on moving the gun around. (Thats why no one can hit anything with an UZI unless its point-blank) The longer you fire full auto, the more spread out the shots will get.

Mmmmm, sniping.....

I use the Flatline and RT combo on my 98C, and have no problems with accuracy or controlling the ROF.

The kick is evident, at least if you are not a very stout person. What is the phrase Ah-nold Schwarzeneggar would use ... ?

If I attack, follow me

If I flee, kill me

If I die, avenge me
