Alrighty the gun comes timed and you wont need to retime it unless you get new pnematics, timming is when the gun releases the air to propell the ball forward, if your timing is off youll pull the trigger then the bolt will go back a lil bit then it will release air to fire, im pretty sure thats how it works. And the first upgrade(s) id get would be new pnematics and a new bolt(delrin is good) Its a very good gun, i got mine for 245 Its pretty fast and accurate and runs on about 250psi, its as accurate as my friends angel and its an all around good gun, ive played speedball/airball and woodsball with it and its great, id suggest a electronic hopper(12 volt revvy) pbgear.com sells them for about 34 with 2 shells |

O yes one more ? I have a Crossfire 68/4500 high pressure tank (800-850psi) will this work with this gun, for example can I take the gun out of the box put that tank in and fire? Ok so I know what timing is now but HOW do I time it?

Yes you will be able to pull the gun out of the box and use your tank with it( i also use a high pressure tank) but youll need a drop or asa, and to time it theres a hole in the top of the gun behind the feedneck where you insert an allen wrench and you adjust it that way

Yeah you can use a 800 output tank, so long as you adjust your secondary reg properly.

get the 3.5 cocker, its an 03 with 04 parts (reg, pneus, bolt, asa), a flat color anno, and the outkast barrel. here: http://www.paintballgateway.com/wgp03spedaum.html its around your price range too. and right out of the box, a high ouptut pressure tank would work fine. no adjustments needed. If my autococker gets un-timed and I try to shoot it, will it destroy the gun?

no, it wont hurt anything. you just might chop some balls, or fire full auto.
timing is very simple, and if you dont short stroke, you dont have to worry about timing much. |

Short stroking=Pulling the trigger too fast, right?
As for timing, if it gets untimed, how would you retime it? |

short stroking isnt pulling the trigger far enough, and releasing it fully. there are 3 steps to timing a cocker. not all 3 steps are needed every time. one of them is the 3-way. unscrew the lug on the collar, and rotate it. by rotating it you adjust when the shot is fired. you can have it fire early in the pull, or later in the pull another is adjusting the tip on the cocking rod. unscrewing or screwing the tip will make the rod part longer or shorter. this is needed if the bolt isnt coming back all the way or coming back too far , making it impossible for another ball to feed (if not coming back far enough). you also have to adjust the lug in the hammer. if the gun isnt firing, you have to rais the lug so it will be released when you pull the trigger. if thegun is firing full auto, it means the lug is not catching, and it needs to be lowered. there is a video at www.pbvids.com/forum
after timing your cocker once or twice, it becomes really easy, and doesnt take long at all. hope that helped |

actually there are 4 steps,
1. Adjusting Back block. 2. Adjusting cocking rod 3. Adjusting Lug 4. Actuating Rod |

How will I know if my gun becomes untimed? What are the signs of an untimed gun?
