Well, well, well ... it seems that Smart Parts doesn't have EVERYBODY in the legal system snowed . WDP has turned back a patent violation suit dealing with electronic firing systems filed in 2002 by Smart Parts! Maybe there IS some hope! So now what... Is AKA going to make a new Viking or somthing now? Because it said that Smart Parts did not Create the trigger system in which they sued AKA over and since the Judge denied that they did make it the whole thing Agianst AKA should be over now... Right?

The Wisconsin lawsuits involving proshops was for a different patent. That lawsuit is about LCD screens, menu displays, and similar fancy options. That lawsuit is still progressing. The end result of the old lawsuit isn't fully settled, but if SP and WDP end up jointly owning the patent (which is what the judge is hinting at), then what Enos suggests is certainly a possible outcome. Of course, that would involve SP and WDP becoming buddy buddy, which might be a little hard... :) I must say, however, that it sounds like WDP's lawyers absolutely spanked SP's lawyers. Brilliant move buying the doc's interests. I think this decision just effectively killed the SP patent, and we'll see an electro free-for-all soon. My theory.

WDP will win against Smart Parts. I have known that scince the beginning. This is pretty much their size comparison: WDP > Smart Parts. Who do you think will win? Also, not all of Smart Part's patants were international patents..... I just cant wait to see is Smart Parts goes for any of these companies: Brass Eagle |
