How long do I have to wait for the loctite on my gas fittings to dry before i can shoot my new gun? Do u have to wait for teflon tape to dry, just wondering? Edited by sean1234 |

Loctite sets up in less than five minutes. You should let it sit overnite. though, before you use your gun. Teflon tape doesn't "dry." It is tape in a solid form that you can use instantly after applying to your gun. I would reccomend teflon tape over loctite because. Teflon tape is much easier to use, and in my opinion, does a better job of sealing than loctite.

loctite cure time , for the 200 series sealants is 20 minutes , and it is used as much ,if not more to keep screws from working loose , as it is sealing . T-tape can be used instantly, but is NOT for securing fastners . |

What are you using it on, because a gauge or macroline/steel hose you can use teflon tape, and like if your going towards QEV's, or Pnemumitics on a gun go with Locktite. Locktite, make sure you use Blue, unless u plan on never removing the screw, then use red. Let it sit for about 20-30 mins. But If it is a large thread i reccomend over night. Teflon- Clean Threads, tape on threads, screw in. No Wait |
