hey,

am i right in thinking that the tippmann guns are designed for scenario
rather than speedball,,
if so,, what are the alternatives? (specific for scenario that is)

thanks again

tippmann are designed for scenario and woodsball.  Ive used my a-5 in speedball, and i did alright but it cant compare to those shooting timmies cockers, impys, and dm's

Tippmann are more leaned towards woodsball play.

Tippmanns are not near as fast, light, and stylish as the speedball guns, and tippmanns work on both c02 and air, thus High end markers do not, and Tippmanns do not run LPR's, Volumizers, etc...as do High end speedball markers, and the list can go on and on...

Its not the markers, its the player

If your losing because ur marker is "too big or too slow" or something, you just suck, or havent adapted to the gun. Anyone can dominate with any gun(unless its a BE)

Agrees with A E , the player makes the gun , I have seen and been part of a pump gun dominating a speedball field , now go figure that one !!

Yes , Tippy's are more geared for the rec/ scenario / woodsball crowd , mostly because they arent as flashy as most "Speedball Markers" , but that doesnt mean that they cant perform more than admirably in the role of Primary speedball equipment !

ROF is a crutch for most players that havent developed the skills to compete any other way (here I go, stating another surefire flaming session) .

My skills are far from basic, on the paintball field , but even farther from "Pro" . But good enough to more than hold my own on a speedball field with a pump against all but the most skilled players .

Tippmann guns are supremely suited for scenario play , because of their reliability , and their looks . They can be improved upon , out of the box , sure , as can any marker . Tippmann's are fast enough , tuff enough , and good looking enough to fit in anybody's game .  Ya, I am biased , can Ya tell ?

SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .
Widowmaker , under construction

Tippmanns not used for Speedball.... Hmm.. Wonder why they have TippmannEffect???

With there Modified 98's/A5's that go 18pbs.. and Have Special Made Reciver Halves that weigh less then some foregrips.

And with there woodsball guns, Why would such a Team win a Iowa State paintball Championchip...

I'm kinda loss in the logic of where Tippmanns are only used for Rec/Woods....

u can use Co2 on sum high end guns, as long as no liquid Co2 gets into the solenoid....and if u have an expansion chamber then thatll help it too.
