I dont think you can make it shoot faster then 15bps on full auto but I heard if you do the trigger mod and and get a double trigger it will fire higher than 15 bps in semi auto mode... dunno if its true tho.

The only way to make the egrip capable of higher rof's is changing the board. The stock GTA board is capped at 15bps. This means the electronics will not cycle faster than that. I bet you could swap in a T-board. Sure, they're made for Spyder e-frames which work exactly like the A-5 egrip. They use a single solenoid to trip the sear. So, you replace the stock board with a T-board (capped at 36bps) and maybe add the T-chip for different firing modes. Hey, you drill eye hles and you can even use the breakbeams that come with the T-board. Let's see, T-board w/ eyes and a 50g micro switch is $75 and the T-chip is $20. So $95 to make your A-5 mad fast. I can't believe it hasn't been done yet. Has it?
BTW you can purchase the T-board at: www.scenariodreams.com Edited by warbeak2099 |

^I've seen players from tippmann effect using A-5's with the cyclone taken off, replaced by a Halo B! I've even seen a Custom 98 Prototype with a cyclone attached! |

Yea the vert mod has been done. True you could that along with my idea and it would work fine. The vert mod is $90 at KPC, a new Halo B is $105 from pbgear.com, and the Tboard with eyes is $65. So, $260. Plus if you want the 25/50g micro switch and the Tchip with more firing modes it'd be an extra $30-40.

your better off just dropping a Morlock into it. Programmable, not cap whatsoever for semi. No ramping either.

i dont think the internals of a tippmann could handle much speed. i think thats also part of the reason y the e-grip and e-bolt are capped at 15 bps. im not saying tippmann internals suck or n/e thing, im just saying that tippmanns are more for woodsball in my opinion and i think if you were to start messing with the speed they go you'll ruine the reliabilty that tippmann guns offer. good luck! |
